You Should Already Know: Priscilla Ahn

WHEN WE KNEW WE WERE GOING TO MAKE IT AS A BAND

When Bruce Lundvall came to see me play and fake handed me a contract to sign out of his suit jacket. Classic!

THE HIGH POINT OF OUR CAREER

Getting to travel to so many rad countries, and playing shows at magical places like Fuji Rock Festival.

THE LOW POINT OF OUR CAREER

Losing confidence in myself as a writer. So lame.

WHEN THE JOURNALISTS GOT IT RIGHT

I have good hygiene. Totally makes my day when they get that right.

WORST SHOW EVER

Opening for a band in Philly at a bar called Whiskey Dix while they played soft porn on TV screens. My poor mom was there. *cringe!*

HOW WE’RE MOST LIKELY TO BE REMEMBERED

A Korean–American with a nice voice…and, boy, could she play ball!

THE BEST SONG WE EVER WROTE

“Dream,” because I get the most letters and emails from fans telling me how this song helped them through challenging times. It truly blows my mind, and touches my heart. I never think that my music can help someone else the way some of my favorite bands have helped me.

A Good Day

(2008)

My debut album. I’m really proud of this one, and still enjoy singing these songs at shows.

Priscilla Ahn & Charlie Wadhams

Sweet Hearts EP

(2012)

My side project band with Charlie Wadhams. I think it’s a really sweet EP with great songs and a warm vibe all the way through.

This Is Where We Are

(2014)

My new album. It has a fun new sound that completely represents who I am today. I had no label input on this one, so it sounds exactly how I would have wished and more!
