An English diplomat and his wife took me and the group to an after-hours, very exclusive private bar. The band also brought along a group of young Burger Records–style rock-and-roller fans. Sat beside a giant fireplace nursing a cocktail, speaking to a diplomat about owning an estate while one of the girls puked in the velvet drapes. Worlds collide.
